The Normandy Schools Collaborative is hiring bus drivers, substitute teachers, custodians, and maintenance workers—and offering competitive pay, benefits, and retirement plans.

To fill its staffing shortages, NSC is hosting a job fair on Thursday, Nov. 18, at Beyond Housing, 6506 Wright Way in Pine Lawn, from 12-4PM.

The district is hiring for many positions, with a critical need for bus drivers, substitute teachers, custodians, and maintenance workers.

Bus drivers
Dedicated, dependable candidates who become drivers will receive:

  • Competitive pay
  • Life, medical, and vision insurance
  • Retirement plans
  • A $2,000 signing bonus for drivers with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or pay during training to receive a CDL

Custodians and maintenance workers
Qualified candidates who are hired for these positions work flexible shifts and receive competitive pay and benefits. Candidates should:

  • Know basic repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance.
  • Be physically able to lift heavy loads.
  • Operate equipment and/or power tools.
  • Be able to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Pass a basic skills test.

Substitute Teachers
Starting pay for substitute teachers is $130-$175 per day. To qualify, applicants must:

  • Have a minimum of 60 college credit hours.
  • Have Missouri substitute or teacher certification.
  • Pass a Missouri Highway Patrol background check.
  • Be able to communicate effectively.
