St. Louis County has launched a simulation tool to engage the community in the budget process. The County will also host four town halls on the budget, beginning Thursday, June 8.

They aim to make the budgeting process more accessible and transparent for their residents. The budget tool provides residents with the experience of balancing competing needs and limited resources. By engaging residents in this process, they hope to better understand what the public values in the services provided by the County government.

In the town hall meetings, residents will be provided with a detailed overview of the budget process. The meetings will also walk people through how to use the budget simulation. All meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m.
