For the kids, the joy is in the presents they unwrap at the holidays. For their parents and caregivers, the joy comes from being able to provide those presents without an extra financial burden during tough times and seeing the priceless smiles on their children’s faces.

This year, Holiday Friends has 1,000 children in the Normandy school district on its gift-giving list. Your generosity—whether you purchase gifts, donate funds, or volunteer to help in other ways—is what makes this program such a bright spot for families in our neighborhoods whose funds are stretched to the limit this holiday season.

Becoming a Holiday Friend

For individuals:

You can fill out this form to buy gifts for a child (or several children) within a family. You will receive an email with details about the child(ren), including their age, clothing and shoe sizes, and a wish list. Please plan to spend a minimum of $50 per child on gifts from their list or ideas like these.

You can also make a donation toward Holiday Friends and our elves will do the shopping for you.

For groups:

You can join together with family, friends, work colleagues, faith congregation, etc. For tips on organizing a group, email

Please also keep an eye out for opportunities for your group to support Holiday Friends at the Holiday Festival on Saturday, Nov. 27, at Carter Commons in Pagedale!

Save the date for the gift drop-off

If you choose the option of purchasing gifts, the drop-off dates for unwrapped items are Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 13 and 14, from 7AM-7PM at Beyond Housing, 6506 Wright Way in Pine Lawn.

To prevent the spread of COVID, this will be a contactless, drive-thru event.
