The Normandy Joint Executive Governing Board (JEGB) selected Dr. Michael Triplett as the next Superintendent of Schools.
Dr. Triplett comes to Normandy from Olathe Public Schools in Olathe, Kansas, where he serves as Assistant Superintendent of Operations.
“Dr. Triplett is the right person to lead the Normandy Schools Collaborative at this crucial time,”
said Ron Roberts, President of the Normandy JEGB.
“This role is critical to our ongoing progress as a district. His leadership experience and capacity to accelerate speed to trust and success with school improvement are invaluable as we look to the district’s future. I want to thank all of the candidates who expressed interest in this position. We were fortunate enough to have some very talented candidates, but Dr. Triplett’s deep commitment and dedication to student success set him apart, and we’re proud to have him as our superintendent.”
Dr. Triplett began his career as a St. Louis Public Schools substitute teacher. His education leadership roles include serving as Principal of Paideia Academy, Assistant Principal of Vashon High, and Principal of Charles Sumner High School, among other positions. He later served as Program Director/Administrator Special Assignment at The Innovation Concept Academy and Assistant Superintendent for Leadership and Accountability at Riverview Gardens District before taking his current role in Olathe Public Schools.
