City Clerk
The City Clerk serves as the official recordkeeper for the City of Northwoods and supports the Mayor, City Administrator, and Board of Aldermen. This position manages city records, prepares meeting documentation, maintains compliance with state and local regulations, and provides administrative support for daily city operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recording and maintaining official city documents and proceedings
- Managing records retention and public requests
- Assisting with city accounting and correspondence
- Supporting the Mayor and City Administrator with administrative tasks
- Ensuring compliance with Missouri state statutes and city ordinances
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Public Works Supervisor
The Public Works Supervisor oversees all public works operations for the City of Northwoods — including streets, parks, city facilities, and public spaces. This role involves hands-on leadership, planning, and coordination of maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects across the city.
Key responsibilities include:
- Directing maintenance of streets, sidewalks, signage, and drainage systems
- Supervising and training public works staff
- Overseeing park and vegetation management
- Managing departmental budgets and work schedules
- Responding to emergencies and after-hours maintenance needs
- Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
