This organization, formerly known as NCADA, works to reduce or prevent the damage caused by alcohol and drug use using education, intervention, and advocacy. One of PreventEd’s major goals is to teach young people the skills they need to resist the pressures of using alcohol and drugs. They offer curricula for every grade from kindergarten through high school in about 300 schools in the region.
